Along with a small cadre of colleagues I was involved in the publication of the A2A Newsletter
to reform the OAA. A2A stood for "Architect to Architect" and provided Ontario architects
an alternative source of information on issues that affect the profession, and
it circulated to over 2000 architects in the province. A2A came into existence to fight the Ontario government's
proposal to doubly regulate the architectural profession.

After two years of grassroots organizing through (A2A)n, I was elected to the
Council of the OAA in January 2006. In 2006, I was elected to
one of the Vice Presidents positions there, and sat on numerous committees. With the defeat of the government
in a Superior Court of Ontario decision,
and the announcement that the government would not be appealing the decision, I tendered my resignation from the
Council of the OAA in May of 2007 to focus on my practice and family.

Part of my work at the OAA has led me to join the TSA and act as liason between the two organizations. The TSA is
blessed with a number of energetic and creative people who make a number of fantastic events happen in the city.

Girl's Hockey
My daughter played in the old North Metro Girls Hockey League since 2003, and in
the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League
after that. Before going to Vic,
she played for most of the clubs in the city and while I helped out
by sitting on boards and sometimes acting as a team trainer.
